SyncroTESS also controls the central warehouse of the logistics service provider Loxxess for the Wacker chemicals group

Loxxess AG provides logistics services along the value-creation chain as an outsourcing specialist. Loxxess operates a central external warehouse for the Wacker chemicals group in the direct vicinity of the Burghausen plant that predominantly stocks seasonal goods with very fluctuating inventories. The twelve external warehouses of Wacker have therefore been consolidated in a bespoke logistics centre.

The SyncroTESS transport management system from INFORM GmbH has already been in use at Wacker Chemie in their Burghausen plant for several years. Today, the Burghausen works, which were founded in 1914, is Wacker's most important production site. Apart from controlling the in-plant transport, shunting railway carrying wagons on the works rail network, SyncroTESS also manages the container store, empty container storage area and the storage areas for exchangeable containers in the Burghausen plant.

The existing system at Wacker has now been extended to include control over the transports between the Burghausen plant and the Loxxess central warehouse. Employees at Loxxess can now access the SyncroTESS data via the scheduling interface and statistics module too so that can schedule their vehicles and generate settlement data.
