Successful participation at the TOC Asia 2008 in Shanghai

The 12th TOC Asia took place from 18 - 20 March 2008 in Shanghai, China.

This year conference theme was “The challenge of scale – Coping with cascading growth”. The TOC Asia 2008 conference fully reflected the significance of what has happened in Shanghai over the past decade and its overall impact on the global port industry. Today’s big ports face the challenge of handling mega-vessels. The “cascade effect” has serious management and technical implications for all ports.

The conference and the accompanying exhibition are increasingly popular with participants, exhibitors and visitors and obtain high significance in the port and container terminal area. INFORM and HPC Hamburg Port Consulting presented at the TOC Asia 2008 at stand E2 their joint product suite TERMINALSTAR.

The presentation of Mr Udo Niessen, Vice President Logistics Systems Division, INFORM, about the "Next generation container terminal CTB (Container Terminal Burchardkai)" during the session terminal productivity found the approval of the participants of the conference.
