Aachen, March 24, 2005 - TOC2005 Asia, the Terminal Operations Conference and Exhibition for Asia - the definitive meeting place for the world's shipping, port and terminals industries - took place in Hong Kong from 15 – 17 March 2005.
Together with HPC Hamburg Port Consultung GmbH, INFORM GmbH used this platform in Asia for the second time in order to present their solutions and concepts for container terminals and their common product line TERMINALSTAR.
TERMINALSTAR unites both companies' know-how in the field of ports and terminals. TERMINALSTAR connects the advantages of the administrative information system of HPC with those of INFORM's systems for dynamic optimization in order to cover all necessary functionalities required from a modern terminal for control purposes, automation and process optimization.
Very interesting discussions took place at our stand and numerous contacts were established. The speech of Mr. Udo Niessen, Vice President, Logistics Systems Division, on "Increased terminal throughput–coping" met with a very good response among the conference attendants. In order to respond to the lively interest encountered at the conference, Mr. Niessen extended his stay in Asia in order to present the system in a more detailed way to potential customers on the spot.
Due to the very successful participation in this year's TOC2005 Asia INFORM and HPC have already confirmed their taking part in next year's conference in Busan, South Korea.
