The BMW Group orders SyncroSupply for two additional plants
The Dingolfing and Regensburg plant are the biggest production sites of the BMW group. Since 1967 a staff of about 23,000 has been manufacturing the cars of the BMW 5, 6 and 7 series from the steel panel to the completely assembled car at the Dingolfing plant. At the Regensburg plant approximately 880 cars from the BMW 3 series and the exclusive M3 models as well as from several all-wheel versions leave the assembly line every day.
Due to the results achieved since the implementation of SyncroSupply at the Munich plant in February 2004, the BMW AG has now ordered the system for its plants in Dingolfing and Regensburg, too. Upon completion of the respective specifications the system will be introduced at both sites by the end of this year.
The SyncroSupply system accomplishes the online control of about 450 truck arrivals in each plant every day; it contains an internet portal for forwarders with the help of which BMW communicates the time slot matrixes to them and which makes it possible for the forwarders to confirm time slots. Thus, the assignment of loading points and the control of the trucks' approach to the loading points takes place long before the trucks leave the suppliers' premises.

Intralogistics control with SyncroTESS:
System now used in the entire Munich plant of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG
The Transport Optimization System SyncroTESS has been controlling 30 vehicles at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG since 1996. Via an order entry mask or directly via the ERP-system all orders are automatically transferred to the SyncroTESS system. Order transmission to the drivers is effected by radio data, with devices provided by Cattron-Theimeg.
In May 2004 MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG decided to extend the use of the Transport Optimization System SyncroTESS to the entire logistics in the Munich plant. The entire production supply is to be controlled by SyncroTESS. From this measure MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG expects to achieve further increases in intralogistics efficiency.

On-time delivery of goods at DaimlerChrysler AG, Sindelfingen
At its largest plant in Sindelfingen DaimlerChrysler AG manufactures various product lines comprising the C-Class, the E-Class as well as the S-Class and the Maybach. More than 2100 cars leave the plant every day. The production cycle as well as the large number of different car types demand a lot of the material deliveries' logistics: the right parts have to be delivered to the right places precisely at the time they are needed there.
That is why the Transport Optimization System SyncroTESS which has been controlling the in-plant transport in Sindelfingen since 2001, now has been extended by the SyncroSupply system for the control of the trucks for material delivery.

Successful Application of SyncroTESS at the Meyer-Werft Shipyard in Papenburg
In the huge covered building docks of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg luxurious cruise liners of more than 300 meters in length are built, following the principle of block and section production. According to the “Lego” pattern, single steel panels are put together to sections which are then combined into blocks. Steel building facilities, material store houses, deposit areas and workshops are situated in other halls on the shipyard. Around 250 cranes, elevators and floor conveyors - amongst them fork lifters, various crane systems and a 800-ton heavy load truck - transport materials, pre-fabricated components and various utilities throughout the shipyard.
