Automatic status messages - DSU Gesellschaft für Dienstleistungen und Umwelttechnik upgrades SyncroTESS

DSU Gesellschaft für Dienstleistungen und Umwelttechnik provides services to the steelworks industry and is using SyncroTESS for its transport and logistics solutions. As part of the process upgrade program, DSU is now planning to upgrade the existing system to include the transport of bulk goods. For this purpose, the system is to be upgraded to version 9.0, the latest version of SyncroTESS, and the existing interfaces to the DSU information system (DIS) reconfigured from both a technological and functional viewpoint. This essentially entails the implementation of a new radio transmission system. Instead of the previously used narrow band radio data transmission, the available GSM/GPRS network is used for communication. For tracking and automatic status tracing of vehicles on site, GPS devices are also installed on vehicles allowing them to be tracked using the SyncroTESS location positioning module.
