SyncroTESS undertakes fleet control at Tracim, a subsidiary of Lafarge Ciments
Today, Lafarge Ciments, founded in 1833 by Léon Pavin de Lafarge is the biggest producer of cements throughout the world in terms of production capacity.
In September 2004 the French company charged INFORM with the control of 300 trucks in the four sales regions in France.
The SyncroTESS system introduced at Tracim is based on a version of the software especially developed for the requirements of the building industry. It optimizes the transport of building materials by pre-planning for the following day and supports dispatching decision in the course of operations.
The system has been implemented at Tracim in four successive steps within a very short period of time. The control by SyncroTESS started in March with 30 vehicles, since the end of April all vehicles are controlled by the system. The control of the transports from the 19 cement works to the customers in France is effected from four regional dispatch centers. |
