Automotive Congress in Bremen meets Big Response

From 6 to 7 April INFORM organized an automotive congress under the headline "Increasing Efficiency in Automotive Logistics" at DaimlerChrysler AG in Bremen. More than 70 automotive manufacturers and component suppliers met in Bremen to discuss problems and solutions in logistics.

The choice of the venue was no coincidence. Since 1988 already the DaimlerChrysler plant Bremen has been using the transport control system SyncroTESS for optimizing in plant transports. In 2002 DaimlerChrysler and INFORM developed in the framework of a pilot scheme the software solution SyncroSupply for synchronizing truck transports and inter plant transports, as to control external and internal transports in an optimized way. In the meantime additional DaimlerChrysler plants and other automotive manufacturers as BMW, VW and Audi are successfully using SyncroTESS and SyncroSupply.

In order to combine theory and practical experience the automotive congress offered not only interesting speeches from users but also a visit of the DaimlerChrysler plant. The congress participants appreciated this visit very much as well as the discussions and the activities accompanying the event. Because of these very positive and encouraging reactions INFORM is already thinking of the next expert congress.
