Fourth Site of BMW Group to be Equipped with SyncroSupply

As yet the SyncroSupply system for controlling incoming and outgoing of trucks has successfully been used in 3 plants of the BWM Group, in Munich, Dingolfing and Regensburg. In February SyncroSupply will be installed in the supply center Eching as well.

The supply center Eching near Munich which was opened in 2002 supplies the production of the BMW 3 series with vehicle parts. In addition to the online control of appr. 120 truck arrivals every day the system in Eching will provide an Internet Portal for forwarders which enables them to reserve time slots. Truck control inside the supply center is effected with the help of transponders and pagers which are handed out to the drivers at the goods receiving point. With the help of transponder aerials installed at the gates SyncroSupply will also document the shuttle traffic between the supply center and the Munich plant.
