Optimized internal transport control at Rautenbach-Guss Wernigerode GmbH

Aachen, December 3, 2004 - Rautenbach-Guss Wernigerode GmbH develops and manufactures high-quality components of light metal casting alloys for engines and chassis assemblies required by the automotive industry, as cylinder heads, motorcycle frame components, suction systems and oil sumps.

At the end of last year Rautenbach-Guss Wernigerode issued an invitation for tender relating to their entire logistics processes. Together with Inform GmbH, Paul Günter Kontraktlogistik GmbH (100 % subsidiary of BLG Logistics) developed an attractive concept for these processes which was accepted by Rautenbach-Guss. As an outsource service provider Paul Günter Kontraktlogistik GmbH assumes the total logistics supply of the foundry in Wernigerode in 3 shifts.

SyncroTESS controls the internal transport procedures. In the middle of the year SyncroTESS has been successfully introduced in the core shop and in the following months in the foundry, melting shop and the finishing shop.

SyncroTESS guarantees not only economic savings arising from optimized transport control but also a consistent materials' tracking due to a connection to the existing SAP system. Orders are entered into the existing hand-held terminals and transmitted to SyncroTESS which ensures short-term supplies according to actual requirements.
