SyncroTESS optimises the use of handling equipment in realtime (cranes, reach stackers, straddle carriers, fork lifts, tractors) as well as the handling of intermodal transport units (containers, swap bodies, semitrailers). This guarantees an optimised utilisation of all resources and an on-schedule loading of the transport units. SyncroTESS receives all posting information including the delivery status of a transport unit via an interface to the rail operators, shipping companies and forwarding agents connected to the terminal. The software plans the individual handling of every single unit on the basis of this information. All actions at the terminal are communicated to the internal or interface-linked systems (posting and accounting system) directly on completion. This allows terminal operators to make the entire transport chain transparent and control this proactively, from pickup on the customer's premises through to loading on the further mode of transport in the terminal.
