Truck arrival – SyncroTESS registers both announced and unannounced trucks and loading units and generates a transport order for its transfer to the best possible storing position in the centre.
SyncroTESS automatically generates transport orders for incoming and outgoing loading units. When a loading unit arrives at the hub, the system determines the ideal storing position or bulk location, according to the type of loading unit (e. g. semi-trailer, swap body, ISO container), expected time of delivery or special requests (reefer or hazardous goods).
Afterwards the transport orders for on-site vehicles are generated (e.g. from the railway buffer area to the storing position). Transport orders are optimised according to their job time frame and urgency, always trying to keep the distance of each trip to a minimum, and are communicated via radio data transmission (GPRS, WLAN, etc).
Employees in the sorting centre are connected to SyncroTESS via mobile terminals. They signal the beginning and end of the loading or unloading processes and collect information relevant to loading (e.g. how full the loading unit is, the number of small load carriers, contents). Via monitors above each dock SyncroTESS informs the employees of the load destination and the deadline for each transport order.
Completed loading units are automatically hauled away and new units are deposited in their place. SyncroTESS automatically generates transport orders for the corresponding handling equipment.
Trains and waggons can either be manually or automatically registered via OCR cameras or transponders. The direction of the train can also be automatically registered, so that SyncroTess is able to differentiate between train arrivals and departures, as well as their shunting. Based on the transport data, SyncroTESS sends the corresponding coordinates and loading information to the crane assigned to the job.
When the truck leaves the centre, a departure check for trucks is carried out by SyncroTESS via transponders, cameras or manually.
