SyncroTESS can be individually and flexibly adapted to suit the needs of the customer. Thanks, above all, to the modular design of the software. The main quality characteristics of good scheduling are supported by the core modules:
GateControl records and monitors arriving and departing trucks at the terminal gates. The data for the trucks and load units are recorded on entry and compared to the expected data (advices). The driver then receives a printed time table. Communication pillars, docking technology and automated logon systems round off the settlement.
YardControl manages all storage areas (e.g. for containers, swap bodies, semitrailers) as well as the loading spaces in these warehouses. It determines both the best storage area and optimum loading space therein on arrival of the loading unit. YardControl takes into account the capacity and current utilisation of the handling equipment.
VehicleControl generates optimised transport orders for the terminal's own handling equipment (e.g. tractors and reach stackers) as well as external trucks. An optimum route for each truck is calculated by VehicleControl on the basis of the data transmitted from GateControl. VehicleControl forwards the expected arrival times at the relevant loading points to the other modules.
RailControl supports communication with railway companies. It receives and processes input messages and sends dispatch messages. RailControlshows the movements of trains, cars and loading units graphically as a track image on the MRP (Manufacturing Resources Planning) controllers' monitor.
CraneControl permits the realtime optimisation of warehouse, deck and railway cranes. This includes the dynamic partitioning of the working areas as well as communication with the crane control systems for an automatic pre-positioning of the cranes.
